CAUSATION REPORTS

The first step in our Mould remediation treatment procedure is an inspection and causation report completed by our lead technician, a degree qualified Civil Engineer and PMII certified Mould inspector. The causation report aims to identify visible Mould and factors contributing to the growth. In the report's findings, we will provide you with pragmatic options to treat your specific Mould issue in the short term and the long term.

Our lead technician is a Civil Engineer and certified PMII certified Mould inspector.

Our inspection and report aim will address:

  • The main cause of Mould growth and propagation.

  • Any innate or harder to treat conditions allowing the Mould to grow.

  • Room by room analysis identifying areas contaminated by Mould.

  • Data to back up our findings.

  • Photos of the affected areas.

  • Recommended short term treatment.

  • Recommendations for the long term, focusing on reducing moisture.

  • FAQ's for you to understand better how this Mould grows.

LONG TERM TREATMENTS

MOULD CLEANING & FOGGING

Decontamination Mould Fogging is a very effective short-term mould treatment procedure.

Mould Removal &Cleaning

The initial stage of treating mould is removal of the visible mould using a specialist HEPA vacuum technique. After the removal of the Mould the antimicrobial cleaning is carried out using specialist products.

Mould Fogging

Because most Mould spores are microscopic, you only see a fraction of the Mould there when you identify visible fuzzy splotches on the wall. That means cleaning the visible Mold won't always get rid of all the Mould. Mould foggers are designed to help with this problem by applying a Mold killing mist to all exposed surfaces in a certain area.

What is Mould Fogging?

The Mould Fogger produces a microfine mist of antimicrobial solution designed for Mould remediation. This microfine mist is made of tiny particles that bounce around the room until they come in contact with a Mould. This microfine mist evenly coats everything in the area and either kills or encapsulates Mould spores in the air of Mould on exposed surfaces.

Our Mould Fogging treatment is completely Non-Toxic.

Fogging will eliminate all airborne mould spores and many types of other bacteria. The product is non-hazardous, biodegradable and not harmful non-toxic. The fogging machine we use distributes a mist into the air throughout the entire property to ensure consistent coverage of the entire treated area.

What area should be treated with fogging?

Most Mould is invisible; Mould may exist ins multiple rooms of your home, even if it's only visible in a single room. Fogging the entire property is required to prevent the Mould from growing in other rooms. Furthermore, mould spores are typically airborne and can be transported from room to room throughout your house by normal airflow, on your clothes and even on your pets. Under the right conditions mould spores will aggressively form, multiply and spread. Therefore, our decontamination fogging services are a crucial short-term step in the mould treatment process.

Why use Mould Fogging?

Mold fogging is typically the most important short term step you can take to rid your home of dangerous mould spores. The elimination of mould spores and other bacteria will ensure the property is restored to a safe and healthy living space for you and your family.

The benefit of fogging is the speed at which you can treat all surfaces of a room whilst also killing airborne spores. Fogging treat to places you simply can't get to with conventional cleaning techniques

LONG TERM PREVENTION

The most important step in the Mould treatment process is reducing the amount of moisture in the environment.

Mould Treatments cannot stop Mould. Mould treatment such as fogging will only eliminate the Mould at the time of fogging. If a high degree of moisture is present in your home, the Mould will return.

Mould is the symptom or a moisture issue in the area where Mould is visibly present. Poor drainage, poor ventilation, roof links and high humidity can lead to mould growth. If the root cause of the Mould is not addressed, Mould will continue to grow.

Shire Mould Removal will provide general advice in relation to:

  • Drainage

  • Ventilation

  • Roof and wall leakage

  • Dehumidification

  • Rising damp

  • Other seepage

Shire Mould Removal partners with local plumbers, electric, and builders if any of the above remediation wors works are needed. If you wish to manage the remediation works yourselves or with your preferred tradespeople, We can provide you with advice and support.

Mould is stopped by reducing high moisture levels. Shire Mould Removal will typically treat the visible Mould and then assist you in reducing the moisture content.
